The meaning of Hajj and Umrah
Pilgrimage
in the language means: intention, and its meaning in Sharia: worshiping Allaah
by performing rituals on what the Sunnah brought, and the meaning of "
Umrah ": the visit
Ruling
on Hajj: Pilgrimage is obligatory for every person charged with the Qur'aan,
Sunnah and Sunnah.
Ruling
on 'Umrah: The most correct view of the scholars is that' Umrah is obligatory
once in a lifetime, such as Hajj. It is the hadeeth of 'Ali, Ibn Abbas, Ibn'
Umar and 'Aa'ishah (may Allaah be pleased with them all).
Pilgrimage
in the performance of Hajj and Umrah:
There
are many hadiths that show the virtues of Hajj and 'Umrah. We mention these
virtues:
First:
(removing poverty, atonement of sins, and entering paradise):
The
Messenger of Allah - may Allah bless him and grant him peace - said :
"Follow Hajj and 'Umrah, because they deny poverty and sins, as well as
the slander of iron, gold and silver ."
And
the meaning of the argument is justified: (is the argument that there is no
sin, no controversy, no quarrel, no quarrel, but good deeds, and other acts of
righteousness).
The
Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
"Whoever prays to Allaah, he does not inherit, and does not repent, he
returns as the day his mother gave birth to him." [3]
The
meaning of the word "haftith" is sexual intercourse. It is also
called "speechless". It is also called "obscene" in the
saying.
In a
Muslim narration: "Whoever came to this house did not inherit and did not
repent, as his mother gave birth to him."
His
saying: "Whoever comes to the house" includes the one who comes with
it, and it is more comprehensive than the previous hadeeth which he singled out
only by Hajj.
Second:
Hajj Jihad, which is also one of the best works:
It was
narrated that 'Aa'ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) said that she said to
the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) : "O Messenger of
Allaah, we see jihad as the best work, do not we strive?
It was
narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said to the Prophet
(peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) : "The great and weak jihad
and the woman are Hajj and Umrah." [6] He said: "Faith in Allah and
His Messenger", it was said: Then what? He said: "Jihad for the sake
of God," was said: Then what? He said: "Pilgrimage is
justified." [7]
Third:
Hajj and Umrah The delegation of God:
The
Messenger of Allah - peace be upon him - : "pilgrims and builders
delegation of God, called them and answered, and asked him gave them." [8]
Fourthly:
Alimony in Hajj as an expense for the sake of Allaah (seven hundred times):
The
Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "The
maintenance of Hajj in the name of Allaah is like spending for the sake of
Allaah with seven hundred times." [9]
And
the meaning of the maintenance of Hajj: (ie all the costs spent on Hajj, such
as the value of the visa, travel ticket, spending on Hajj, food, housing, etc.,
as well as spending on others in Hajj - all this by 700 times).
It is
mustahabb for Hajj and 'Umrah:
The
hadeeth of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him):
"Follow Hajj and 'Umrah." In the hadeeth, "Perform Hajj and'
Umrah." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)
said: "Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):" A slave has
corrected his body and extended it to him . "The Messenger of Allaah
(peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: Living, spent five years on
it does not come to the deprived. " [11]
Acceleration
of Hajj:
The
believer should seize any opportunity that comes to him to perform the rituals
of Hajj. He does not know what obstacles he is facing or obstructs.
• The
Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
"Hurry up for Hajj, because none of you knows what is being offered to
him." [12]
Important
notice: We see many people neglecting the Hajj, they are saving money for their
pleasures and desires, going to the clubs and beaches of the seas for holidays,
and they did not perform what God ordered them of Hajj and Umrah and others,
and that should be alert to those who are drowned in their stupidity; All of
them.
